Immerse yourself in a unique experience at the European Bamboo Summer Camp, taking place from July 27 to 31, 2026 in Anduze, in the heart of beautiful French bamboo groves. Over five days, this gathering will bring together enthusiasts from across Europe to explore, understand, and practice bamboo in all its dimensions. It’s a rare opportunity to learn how to cultivate bamboo in a European climate and to discover construction techniques using bamboo splits, guided by renowned experts. The camp is designed for professionals in bamboo, architecture, design, crafts, and landscape design, as well as DIY lovers and anyone curious about this fascinating material. The event will be held in English. An exceptional panel of specialists will lead the sessions and share their expertise: Jean Baptiste Dubois, founder of Atelier Déambulons; Simon CPépinières de la Bambouseraie; Pierre Boucher, structural engineer specializing in bamboo and timber; Orin Hardy, founder of BambooU; and Jaime Peña, founder of Jaime Peña Studio. Their complementary perspectives will offer a comprehensive understanding of bamboo’s potential all over the World. The program will cover bamboo properties, the current state of the European bamboo industry, planting and maintenance techniques, cutting methods, and construction systems using bamboo strips. Participants will also have the chance to build a large bamboo structure together, a hands on, collaborative experience that promises to be unforgettable.

Visit of the BAMBOUSERAIE D'ANDUZE - 1h30
- The Bamboo Garden of Anduze is a unique botanical garden. The site originated in the 19th century when a passionate botanist, Eugène Mazel, created this garden to cultivate bamboos that were still relatively unknown in Europe. Over the decades, the bamboo garden has become a living conservatory where species from Asia and other regions adapt to the Mediterranean climate, offering a living laboratory of biodiversity and botanical research.
